Abstract: This thesis tells of the changes in non-traditional music of the Tibetan and Uyghur minorities in post-Cultural Revolution-China. It also discusses the relation between these changes, globalization, and influences from the West, local regions like India and Central-Asian states, and the wealthier parts of China.
